La notte è scesa
e brilla la cometa
che ha segnato il cammino.
Sono davanti a Te, Santo Bambino!
Tu, Re dell’universo,
ci hai insegnato
che tutte le creature sono uguali,
che le distingue solo la bontà,
tesoro immenso,
dato al povero e al ricco.
Gesù, fa’ ch’io sia buono,
che in cuore non abbia che dolcezza.
Fa’ che il tuo dono
s’accresca in me ogni giorno
e intorno lo diffonda,
nel Tuo nome.

Ha caído la noche
y brilla la cometa
que ha marcado el camino.
Estoy ante Ti, Santo Niño.
Tú, Rey del Universo
nos has enseñado
que todas las criaturas son iguales
que sólo la bondad las distingue,
inmenso tesoro,
dado al pobre y al rico.
Jesús, hazme bueno
que sólo tenga dulzura en mi corazón.
Haz que tu don
aumente en mí cada día
y lo difunda
en Tu nombre.

Night has fallen
And shines the comet
That has marked the path.
I stand before You, Holy Child!
Thou, King of the universe,
have taught us
That all creatures are equal,
that only goodness distinguishes them,
immense treasure,
given to the poor and the rich.
Jesus, make me good,
