Traduzioni e Composizioni – BOSTON (Mondays)

Pre-requisite: Italian II plus or its equivalent. This course is recommended for those students who wish to improve their Italian through written exercises. Each week we will focus on translation and composition activities by paying close attention to grammar, sentence structure and analysis. Further, the participants will increase their ability in: writing, reading, listening and speaking while expanding knowledge of vocabulary. *Materials will be distributed in class weekly.

Length: 10 weeks

Starts: Monday, January 6

Time: 6:00-8:00 pm

Pre-requisite: Italian III or its equivalent. Who are those women and men who contributed to the history of Italy? This course is an excellent opportunity to learn about some grandious Italian people that marked significantly the Italian history throughout the centuries. Each individual, although different, narrates a society, a new way of thinking, and the epoch in which they lived. Additionally, each week students will sharpen their language abilities through reading, writing, speaking and listening exercises. Moreover, this course is great to practice tenses such as imperfetto and passato remoto. *Materials will be distributed in class weekly.

Using a variety of didactic materials in a relaxed atmosphere, you will learn: simple grammar, travel related vocabulary and expressions, pronunciation, verb conjugation, as well as some aspects of the Italian culture. Emphasis will be placed on speaking and listening skills. This course is recommended for students with no previous knowledge of the language, or for those who wish to review basic Italian language skills.

This course welcomes students who have completed Italian I. Using a conversational and fun approach; it is a continuation of learning basic grammar. We will cover adjectives, time, irregular verbs, reflexive verbs, the simple past tense with Essere & Avere, vocabulary and more.

No experience is required. This fun course provides an opportunity to satisfy your inner artistic talents. Come join us and learn to draw while meeting new people, or spending time with your loved ones. This fun course provides an opportunity to create fabulous illustrations, suitable for framing, using colored pencils. In a relaxed atmosphere with a lot of individualized attention, participants will expand their creative abilities and pursue personal choices in subject matter and style, while learning textural effects, harmonious color combinations, and balanced compositions.
