I’m thrilled to welcome you—all learners, young and mature—as we open a fresh chapter of learning and discovery this school year!

To my students, whether you’re just starting your journey in Italian, Spanish, or English—or returning to deepen your skills—remember: every new word or phrase is a stepping-stone toward fluency and cultural connection. We’ll explore language together through creativity, conversation, and meaningful context.

To the parents, I sincerely appreciate your decision to invest in quality language education for your children. By choosing to learn Italian, Spanish, or English in a supportive learning environment, you’re giving your children much more than language skills—you’re nurturing cognitive development, cultural empathy, and lifelong confidence.

CULTURA HISPANA: La bandera de Perú

La bandiera del Perù è formata da due fasce verticali di colore rosso ai lati e una di colore bianco al centro. Il colore rosso rappresenta il sangue versato dei combattenti per l’indipendenza del paese come anche il coraggio e il sacrificio per la propria patria. Il bianco invece simboleggia la pace, la giustizia e la speranza per il benessere e il futuro del paese. Esistono due versioni della bandiera peruviana, quella civile, solo con le fasce bicolori e quella di stato che include lo stemma. Lo stemma incarna i valori del Perù ed è al centro della fascia bianca. Esso rappresenta il governo e le risorse principali del paese che sono animali, vegetali e minerali. Come tutte le bandiere, anche la bandiera del Perù è un simbolo di unità nazionale.

The flag of Peru consists of two vertical bands of red on either side and one of white in the center. The red color represents the spilled blood of the fighters for the country’s independence as well as courage and sacrifice for one’s homeland. The white, on the other hand, symbolizes peace, justice and hope for the country’s well-being and future. There are two versions of the Peruvian flag, the civil flag, only with the two-color bands, and the state flag, which includes the coat of arms. The coat of arms embodies Peru’s values and is in the center of the white band. It represents the government and the country’s main resources, which are animal, plant and mineral. Like all flags, the flag of Peru is a symbol of national unity.

La bandera de Perú consta de dos bandas verticales rojas a los lados y una blanca en el centro. El color rojo representa la sangre derramada de los luchadores por la independencia del país, así como el valor y el sacrificio por la patria. El blanco, en cambio, simboliza la paz, la justicia y la esperanza en el bienestar y el futuro del país. Existen dos versiones de la bandera peruana: la bandera civil, sólo con las bandas bicolores, y la bandera del Estado, que incluye el escudo de armas. El escudo encarna los valores de Perú y se encuentra en el centro de la banda blanca. Representa al Gobierno y los principales recursos del país, que son los animales, las plantas y los minerales. Como todas las banderas, la de Perú es un símbolo de unidad nacional.

La bandiera del Venezuela, di forma rettangolare, è formata da tre strisce orizzontali di diverso colore. Ogni colore ha un significato simbolico. Il giallo rappresenta l’oro e la ricchezza del paese; l’azzurro si riferisce al colore del cielo e al mare dei Caraibi che bagna la costa, mentre il rosso simboleggia il sangue sparso per la lotta verso l’indipendenza dalla Spagna. Le otto stelle bianche a cinque punte, disposte a forma di arco al centro, indicano le province.

La bandera de Venezuela, de forma rectangular, consta de tres franjas horizontales de distintos colores. Cada color tiene un significado simbólico. El amarillo representa el oro y la riqueza del país; el azul hace referencia al color del cielo y del mar Caribe que baña la costa, mientras que el rojo simboliza la sangre derramada en la lucha por la independencia de España. Las ocho estrellas blancas de cinco puntas, dispuestas en arco en el centro, indican las provincias.

The rectangular flag of Venezuela consists of three horizontal stripes of different colors. Each color has a symbolic meaning. Yellow represents the country’s gold and wealth; blue refers to the color of the sky and the Caribbean sea that washes the coast, while red symbolizes the blood shed in the struggle toward independence from Spain. The eight white five-pointed stars, arranged in the shape of an arc in the center, denote the provinces.
